Many people think that because the emotional effects of a phobia are so strong that they just have to live with them……This is actually wrong. Phobias can be treated effectively with Hypnotherapy.

Many poeple try and live with their phobia by avoiding what sets the phobia off. In the case of rare phobias this might be possible, but if you have a common phobia like spiders or lifts then this is not often possible and avoiding the stimulus just tends to make it worse.

For example if going outdoors causes severe anxiety as in agorophobia. It can seriously affect your entire life making you feel the victim of an unknown enemy. This can often lead to people being made housebound by their phobia which will seriously affect their quality of life.
